Mother's Day was wonderful - Brandon started the weekend off the second I got home from work on Friday. I walked in the door to find these beautiful flowers waiting for me on the counter and the whole house cleaned spotless! I spent the whole evening cuddling with Lilly and watching some fun chick-flick.
On Saturday I treated myself to a pedicure and just lounged around the house most of the day, it was fabulous! Then I woke up on Sunday when Brandon brought Lilly to bed with me so we could snuggle. And the one request I had, was for some donuts for breakfast - I haven't had one in so long since we're trying to eat better. It was the most amazing maple bar EVER! Yum!
It was just perfect, spending the day with my wonderful little family. We are so blessed to have Lilly in our life. Whenever I see her smile or hear her laugh, it melts me heart. This was the first Mother's Day in 8 years that I wasn't overwhelmed with sadness. I never imagined I could feel this happy and so in love with our darling daughter. I hope everyone's Mother's day was just as peaceful as mine.
