We have gotten so many questions from people about our adoption and we want to answer as many as we can. So if you have a question for us, leave it as a comment on this post and in a few days we'll answer every single one!
How long do you have to stay in the state where the adoption takes place? Does LDS social services offer any transition advice and/or counsel? Do they check up on things after a certain period of time, or is it done once it's done? Looking back, how arduous was the process of the paperwork, documentation, house-checks, etc...? What do you plan on doing first when you get home with your baby? ARE YOU EXCITED??!??!? We are!
I just found out a newer couple in our ward is in the process of adopting. They said they could receive a baby at anytime-they have done all the paperwork/background check, inspections, etc. Do you have any suggestions of what I could do to show my support? What has been the biggest support or been very touching to you throughout your journey?
